12/20/2023 – ERC – Employee Retention Credit- Tax Credit
Please be advised that ERC is still on Moratorium. The IRS had placed this freeze on any new ERC submissions due to the scammers and the concern of the tax preparers.
As of yesterday, we have found that you are still able to file for ERC but the new filers will be worked on once they have gone through all the prior claims.
The scammers are back at it again. What had happened… A wave of companies pushed small businesses to wrongly claim tax credit – the IRS had to temporarily stop the processing of new filings Sept of 2023.
Ineligible taxpayers will start receiving the 105 C Letter stating their claim was disallowed. What is being rejected? Those that wrongly claimed their entities existed or that they had paid employees when they did not during the eligibility time frame.
So here is what to look for. Companies charging a high fee or now those that previously filed an ERC claim are being contacted stating they can provide upfront loans for their anticipated refund.

12/21/2023 – SETC- Self Employed Tax Credit
It has been confirmed that this tax credit is still available to Solpreneuers, Solo LLCs with or without W2 employees, Family Owned Businesses, Independent Contractors, and Freelancers.

Contact our office, but before you do check to see if you filed a Schedule C, 1040 SE, or a Partnership 1065…you might be eligible.
If you filed as an S-Corp, Sub-S under your LLC, or a C-Corp this will not work for you, we are sorry, but this is per the IRS guidelines.
As of today, the 2 companies we work in conjunction with have recouped over 122 Million for Gig Workers, some of my family members have received this tax credit as well.

My Story
Fiona Ratzlaff’s eclectic experience owning and managing businesses in fields as diverse as the arts and non-profits, marketing, healthcare, retail, IT and tourism has developed a keen understanding of the challenges involved in managing and operating ventures. As principal of Framework, Contractual COO and Referral Center, she applies her expertise, curiosity and entrepreneurial drive to help service and retail for-profit companies and mission-driven nonprofits grow and realize their visions.
In her more than 30 years managing and owning businesses, Fiona has overseen the operations of several retail stores and employee claims at a large, national healthcare concern, and lead marketing and sales for a medical software and IT companies. As the co-owner of two different optometric companies, she grew them both into profitable, sustaining ventures.
A Canadian by birth and now based in New Mexico, Fiona lives with her husband and younger of two daughters, spending time outdoors on the water kayaking or boating.
